Teach Adult Secondary Education classes in Introduction to Health Careers. Classes are designed to help students gain a basic understanding of the Health Career field and bridge to career programs such as Basic Nurse Assistant or Phlebotomy to gain an industry recognized credential. Instructors will provide educational activities within the scope of a developed curriculum that assists students in achieving their goals. The use of multiple teaching strategies to serve the diverse needs of adult learners is expected. Responsibilities Include Deliver instruction and conduct assigned classes. Prepare lessons and syllabus based on approved curriculum and syllabus template. Ensure student enrollment, attendance, and grades are submitted in a timely manner. Work with Bridge and Transition Advisor to insure student persistence and transition. Complete New Teacher Orientation. Fulfill State mandated 12 hours of Adult Education Professional Development per fiscal year. Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in Language Arts, Social Studies, Sciences, or related field. Experience in the Health Career Field. Strong technology skills. Experience working with diverse non-traditional Adult Learners Desire to help change lives. Preferred Qualifications Bi-Lingual English/Spanish Teacher Certification Master's degree in Adult Education or Education related field ICCB Adult Education Standards Certification training Experience utilizing Learning Management Systems like Canvas, DAISI, I-pathways, IXL, and CASAS a plus Experience incorporating technology and multimedia applications into teaching and learning process. Experience teaching at a Community College or Vocational/Technical institution.
