What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, residents, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned public areas, facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and public spaces, observe and report unusual conditions, and provide directions or assistance to members of the public as needed.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and daily logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be able to ride a bike.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
