Summary

You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the CVN INTEGRATION (N65) AVAILABILITY INTEGRATION DIVISION MODERNIZATION AND INSTALLATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER PORT HUENEME DIVISION.

Duties

• You will serve as the primary assistant to the Assistant Chief of Staff for Ship Maintenance and Material for assigned carrier Command Control Communications Computers Combat Systems Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance systems.
• You will provide technical and consultative services for the execution management and configuration of carrier combat systems programs and plans.
• You will be responsible for C5I modernization and maintenance including technical training assessment budgetary support logistic support and material readiness support for installed equipment on assigned carriers
• You will evaluate technical performance up to and including the system level of equipment associated with equipment specifically related to hardware reliability operation performance and/or maintainability problems.
• You will be responsible for independently planning designing and carrying out programs projects studies or other work.
• You will conduct risk analysis and provide risk-based options and recommendations for issues affecting C5ISR systems.

• This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Functional Area and Tier assigned to the position along with Continuous Learning (CL) points are required within established timeframes.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying technical engineering principles methods and tools for developing scheduling coordinating monitoring evaluating and managing engineering projects and resources including technical performance to plan and coordinate the repair maintenance and modernization of warfare systems on ships aircraft or related systems or equipment.

This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14.
