Event Planner

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Event Planner in Saint George, UT (Hybrid) for a 26-week contract.About the Role:

• Schedule: Flexible schedule between 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Hours will vary based on event needs
• July-November: Approximately 20 hours per week, increasing as the event approaches
• Event Week (November 15-22, 2026): 40+ hours per week required
• No on-call responsibilities
• No holiday coverage required

Overview:This individual will play a key role in vendor management, sponsorship outreach, event operations, and auction support while helping deliver an exceptional experience for attendees, donors, volunteers, and community partners. This position requires a proactive professional who can manage multiple priorities, build strong local relationships, and provide hands-on support throughout event planning and execution.Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a vendor engagement program focused on attracting local artisans, makers, and small businesses
• Create and maintain vendor application processes, onboarding materials, tracking systems, and payment workflows
• Recruit, onboard, and support vendors participating in event activities
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure consistent branding, messaging, and customer experience
• Support auction preparation activities, including item uploads, data entry, and quality assurance within event management software
• Partner with volunteer leaders to coordinate auction item management and event logistics
• Serve as the primary event software resource during the event, providing real-time support to guests, donors, and volunteers
• Assist with community sponsorship outreach, relationship management, and sponsorship fulfillment activities
• Support sponsor recognition efforts and ensure commitments are delivered successfully

Skills

• Experience in event coordination, event marketing, vendor relations, nonprofit programs, community engagement, or a related field
• Experience working with event management platforms, auction software, CRM systems, or similar technology solutions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with vendors, sponsors, volunteers, and internal teams
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and tracking systems
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple teams
• Flexible, adaptable, and willing to support a variety of event-related activities in a fast-paced environment
• Must be available to work on-site throughout the entire event week

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting fundraising, nonprofit, community, or large-scale public events
• Experience using GiveSmart or similar event registration, fundraising, or auction management platforms
• Experience with sponsorship development, donor engagement, or community partnership programs

Location Requirements:

• Must reside in the Saint George, Utah area
• Hybrid work environment with regular on-site attendance required
• Ability to be present during event setup, event execution, and post-event breakdown activities

What Makes a Candidate Successful:The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating events, managing vendor relationships, and supporting community engagement initiatives. They should be comfortable working with event technology platforms, communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, and providing hands-on operational support to ensure a successful event experience.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
