Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Role Overview: Provides professional nursing care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) as a Registered Nurse (RN). Key Responsibilities Assess patient needs including physical, psychosocial, spiritual, educational, cultural, safety, and discharge planning. Develop individualized, patient-specific care plans and set realistic outcome goals utilizing patient and family input. Implement nursing and medical orders appropriate to the patient’s condition and evaluate care effectiveness. Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, delegate tasks, and act as a shift supervisor when needed. Participate in hourly rounding, ensure safety protocols, and observe safe work practices. Evaluate nursing practice quality and contribute to continuous improvement. Perform other hospital‑assigned tasks as required. Qualifications & Skills Current RN license in the state and CPR certification; ACLS required, PALS preferred or obtained within specified timeframes. Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills, with ability to work in fast‑paced environments. Basic computer skills and excellent customer service abilities. Education & Experience Diploma or degree from an accredited nursing program. Preferred: BSN and at least one year of acute care experience; specialty certifications are advantageous. Specialized training or certifications in areas such as bariatrics, wound care, or neonatal care are preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
