The 73‑bed hospital is one of the most technologically advanced hospitals in the region. Responsibilities The Lead Sterile Processing Tech provides patient care by cleaning, processing and sterilizing the instruments. Demonstrates and understands the principles of decontamination and sterilization in preparing items for OR and clinic use. Ensures implementation of standards within the quality assurance monitoring process and monitors record keeping of repairs and maintenance. Maintains and reviews missing instrument logs, puts in requests for missing instruments and orders instrument parts needed to maintain functioning instrument trays. Performs rounding through operating rooms, confirms instrumentation needs are met, troubleshoots problems and repairs, reviews schedules with the Nurse Manager, facilitates room turnover, and coordinates loan instruments. Qualifications Job Requirements: Knowledge of Surgical Sterile Technique and sterile processing chemicals. Minimum 1-3 years of Sterile Processing Tech experience. Vocational Training in related field. CRCST, CSPDT, or CST certification. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. #J-18808-Ljbffr
