LSU Health New Orleans School of Dentistry, Department of Comprehensive Dentistry, is seeking three motivated applicants for the position of Dental Assistant 1 or Dental Assistant 2. Job Duties And Other Information Duties and responsibilities included, but not limited to: Assist dentists and dental students with chair side treatment of patients. Maintain and stock cabinet Instruct and evaluate students in proper four-handed dentistry techniques Chart patients according to LSUSD systems (Axium Computer knowledge) Give fluoride treatments as directed by dentist or student Give follow-up home instructions as directed by dentist or student Place rubber dam and directed by dentist or student Remove cement supragingivally from dental restorations and fixed restorations Knowledgeable of computers. • 15.05 per hour for Dental Assistant 2 title
• 14.06 for Dental Assistant 1 title

Additional Compensation $1.00 Longevity Pay for hours worked only.

• 2.25 per hour worked available for candidates that hold a current DANB (Dental Assisting National Board) certification.
• 1.50 for EDDA certification (Expanded Dental Duty Dental Assistant).
