In this role you will:Duties and Responsibilities for this position include (what this person will do on a daily/weekly basis):Build the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customersGuide the team on how to get the most of out self-organizationGuide the team on self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworksAssess the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coach the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organizationRemove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impedimentBuild a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame,Facilitate getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the workFacilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolutionAssist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating informationSupport and educate the Product Owner, especially on grooming and maintaining the product backlogBasic Qualifications:Minimum two years' experience playing the Scrum Master role for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices and theoryMinimum two years' experience with the practice of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparencyMinimum two years' experience working with various well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous burndown technologies, various Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)Desired qualifications for this role include:Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile GamesApplicable knowledge of the technologies used by the teamExcellent communication and mentoring skillsTravel: We are seeking candidates local to the Louisville, Kentucky area or who can relocateDegree: Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experienceThis position is only available to those interested in direct staff employment opportunities with NTT DATA, Inc. or its subsidiaries.
