Welder II

Welding PositionPerform welding operations according to blueprints, company standards and applicable standards to meet inspection criteria in accordance with defined requirements.Primary Responsibilities:Ability to weld different types of material such as: Aluminum, Steel, and Stainless SteelAbility to set up and maintain welding machine (tip, liner, changes, etc.) and weld vertical, horizontal, and overhead.Inspect welds for cracks, burn through and weld spatter.Use basic hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools, as required.Grind and clean areas where required.Stay current in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and basic mechanical adjustments on all equipment as needed.Follow hazardous waste disposal program and fire prevention procedures.Job Requirements:Education & Experience:Level II - 3-5 years of experience.High school diploma or GED preferred.Welding Certifications Required.Ability to read and use a tape measure for precise measurements.Ability to read and understand blueprints, as well as weld symbols.Process knowledge and experience to set up, adjust, and maintain welding machines.Ability to communicate professionally and follow directions.Ability to work in a team environment.Must be able to pass the required welding certification testMust be able to perform an uphill weld.Essential Mental and Physical Functions:Mental FunctionsAbility to concentrate for extended periods while performing precise work.Strong situational awareness when working with heat, gas, and moving equipment.Ability to follow complex instructions and adapt to changing priorities.Good judgment in identifying defects or unsafe conditions.Physical FunctionsStanding for long periods (up to 10–12 hours depending on shift).Repetitive hand and arm movements.Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 lbs.Good vision and depth perception to inspect brazed joints.Ability to work in hot conditions near brazing equipment.Work Environment:Manufacturing facility with exposure to heat, fumes, noise, and industrial equipment.Requires use of PPE including safety glasses, gloves, face shields, and protective clothing.Fast-paced production environment with changing priorities.May require overtime, additional shifts, or weekend work based on production demands.Disclaimer:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
