Registered Nurse - SCU/IMC

Location: Damariscotta, Maine

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shifts available: 6a - 6p or 6p - 6a

Job Description: The SCU (Step Down Care Unit) is not an ICU (Intensive Care Unit) and does not include vented patients. The unit rarely administers drips. Experienced telemetry nurses are well-suited for this role in an intermediate community access hospital that caters to telemetry, med-surg, and critical care patients. The facility is looking for RNs with telemetry or med-surg/tele experience from larger organizations for their heightened skill set.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess telemetry, med-surg, and critical care patients.
• Administer medications and manage patient care.
• Occasional floating to Med-Surg Unit as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including travel experience.
• Current RN license.
• Experience with vasoactive drips, ventilators preferred.
