Interventional Radiologist

UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pennsylvania is seeking a dedicated Interventional Radiologist to join their well-established practice. The clinician will deliver cutting-edge, patient-centered care utilizing state-of-the-art imaging technology in partnership with the UPMC Hamot Hillman Cancer Center. This full-time position offers a balanced role involving interventional radiology procedures, diagnostic imaging, and regional clinic coverage with call responsibilities. Practice Info Hospital setting at UPMC Hamot, a 458-bed hospital and Level II Trauma Center Primarily Interventional Radiology procedures with rotations into Diagnostic Radiology Regional Interventional Radiology clinics required, all within driving distance to Erie County Comprehensive Diagnostic Imaging including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, and Diagnostic Radiology Responsibilities Deliver cutting-edge, patient-centered care in partnership with the UPMC Hamot Hillman Cancer Center Perform a full spectrum of minimally invasive, image-guided procedures such as liver and kidney cancer therapies, advanced vascular and biliary interventions Cover the ED list primarily when assigned Perform interventional procedures including angiography, angioplasty, bone marrow biopsy, embolization, IVC filters, TACE, ablation, mediport placement, biliary/nephrostomy drainage, feeding tube insertion, nerve blocks, epidural injections, paracentesis, and thoracentesis Compensation $460,000 - $510,000 base salary $100,000 sign-on bonus for this full-time, onsite position No cap on Physician’s ability to earn a productivity incentive CME funds Competitive base salary with the opportunity to earn additional productivity incentives Benefits Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) and CME Days PSLF Eligible non-profit health system employed model Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Employer-paid Short and Long-Term Disability Coverage Group Life Insurance Paid Parental Leave Tuition Assistance available for self, spouse/domestic partner, and dependents Paid occurrence-based malpractice insurance 403(b) Retirement Plan with 50% employer match, plus an employer-paid pension plan Relocation Assistance for customary and reasonable moving expenses Shift & Schedule Full Time Day time hours with call responsibility Weekday Evening Coverage 1:4, Weekend Coverage 1:4 Qualifications MD/DO from an accredited medical school American Board Eligible, American Board Certified or Canadian Board Certified in Interventional Radiology, with strong proficiency in cross-sectional imaging and the ability to perform a broad range of general radiology procedures Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License and ability to obtain necessary credentials DEA certification A commitment to patient-centered care and excellent interpersonal skills Accepts J1 Waiver and H-1B Candidates for 2028 and beyond
