Registered Nurse Wound Care

Role Overview Your future role at a glance. Location: Winchester, IN Facility: Ascension St. Vincent Randolph Department/Speciality: Wound Care Schedule: Days | PRN Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor individualized wound care treatment plans based on comprehensive patient assessments. Perform detailed wound evaluations, including staging, measurement, and ongoing reassessment of healing progress. Monitor, document, and communicate changes in wound status and overall patient condition. Execute physician and nursing orders related to wound treatments, advanced dressings, and therapeutic interventions. Qualifications License/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer. American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification accepted. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire or job transfer. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire. Preferred Qualifications 1 year of infusion experience preferred. Strong IV therapy and venous access skills, including difficult starts. Experience with infusion administration and monitoring (biologics, antibiotics, hydration, home infusion, oncology, outpatient infusion). Wound assessment and basic wound care competency (compression, dressing selection, documentation). Strong assessment and critical‑thinking skills—recognizes early changes and escalates appropriately. Comfortable with outpatient workflows, time management, and quick room turnover. Accurate documentation and comfort with EMR use. Knowledge of infection prevention standards and safe medication practices. Benefits 403(b) retirement plan.
