Join Visiting Angels of Southwest Michigan and provide meaningful one-on-one care to older adults in their homes.

Our Current Scheduling Need

Our greatest need right now is for caregivers available:

Weekday mornings , often starting around 8:00 a.m.
Saturdays
For visits typically lasting 3–4 hours

Have different availability? We still encourage you to apply. We have clients with needs at other times, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Schedules are based on current client needs, location, availability, and caregiver skills. Hours and specific shifts are not guaranteed.

What You'll Do

You'll provide one-on-one support that may include:

Bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
Meal preparation and light housekeeping
Companionship and medication reminders
Dementia and memory-care support
Errands, appointments, and transportation

Requirements:

Applicants Must:

Be at least 18 years old
Have a valid driver's license
Have dependable transportation
Provide proof of current Michigan auto insurance and vehicle registration
Be legally authorized to work in the United States
Be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Be comfortable providing personal care
Be comfortable working independently in clients' homes
Be able to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds
Be physically able to sit, stand, walk, reach, and climb stairs
Pass required background checks and drug screening
Demonstrate dependable attendance and communication

Experience

One year of caregiving or related experience is preferred. Relevant family caregiving, senior living, healthcare, hospitality, housekeeping, or other service-focused experience may also be considered.
