Assembly Technician

Job Description Job Description Assembly $17.50/hr Monday -Thursday 5 am-3:30 pm, OT as required Purpose: Performs a variety of assembly/disassembly and fastening/unfastening of parts larger than hand using tools; fit, bolt, cut, or otherwise connect components and equipment according to specifications. Prepare surfaces for paint application. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Prepares weld area appropriately to result in good weld penetration and meets structural integrity criteria Collaborates with peers to accomplish projects or tasks Develops and maintains relationships with peers and customers Participates in group discussions and meetings Perform checks on product and process Assure material integrity by routine inspection by following established procedures and quality processes and specifications Assure piece and work output meet specifications Sort and separate defective materials and parts Assembles/disassemble and fasten/unfasten parts larger than hand using tools; fit, bolt, weld, cut, or otherwise connect components and equipment according to specifications Assemble/disassemble small parts not requiring precision alignment or small tolerances Assemble/disassemble small parts requiring precision alignment and small tolerances Performs any other assigned task Basic Requirements: At least 3 months of mechanical hand tools or power tools work experience Must be able to comprehend the English language Additional Requirements: Ability to read and follow work procedures Ability to work in areas that are hard to reach and in awkward positions Ability to stand, crouch, and climb 10 hours per day (in addition to overtime) in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with intermittent noise, fumes, solvents, and paints Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and work around moving vehicles, on ladders and scaffolding, below ground level, with vibratory tools Desired Skills: Hand tool experience using wrenches, clamps, benders, and box knives Power tool experience using power drills and fastening tools Ability to achieve high-performance goals with changing work directions Safety sensitive role Key Personnel Benefits While on Key Personnel’s payroll, you can access Key’s benefits package, including health, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability, PTO, and more!
