Description

American Traveler is hiring a General Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer for an acute care hospital, requiring at least 1 year of experience and ARDMS certification.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with 150 staffed beds
• Evening shift, 5x8 hours from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM
• Weekend coverage not required
• Uses Epic charting system
• May be required to float between like units and sister facilities within the state
• Performs general, OB/GYN, vascular, small parts, and renal/pelvis ultrasound studies
• Utilizes GE, Siemens, and PACS equipment

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• BLS certification required
• ARDMS certification required (specialty certifications such as AB, BR, FE, OB/GYN preferred)
• ARRT-S certification preferred
• RDCS-RVT certification preferred
• Compact state license must be in hand at time of consideration, license required if applicable
• Epic experience preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Experience with OB/GYN ultrasound including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester studies preferred
• Experience with general ultrasound including abdominal aorta, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, spleen, and pediatric abdomen/pelvis
• Vascular ultrasound experience including carotid, Doppler studies, and upper/lower extremity arterial and venous studies
• Experience with small parts ultrasound including thyroid, testicles/scrotum, and superficial masses preferred
• Experience with renal/pelvis ultrasound including bladder, ovaries, prostate, and uterus
• Ability to work with adult patient populations
• Prior travel assignment experience required

• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted within 50-mile radius at a lower bill rate
• Returning former employees may be considered after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• RTO must be submitted upfront at time of consideration; post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated
• Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two supervisory references required, covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
• Radiology scrub color is black
