About the Employer The Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) is a service agency supporting the county's 23 school districts that serve nearly 430,000 students. RCOE provides administrative support to districts, leads programs for preschool, special education, pregnant minor, corrections, migrant, and vocational students, and offers professional training, support and resources for teachers, administrators, and staff throughout Riverside County. Job Summary The job of Audiologist is done for the purpose(s) of supporting Deaf and/or Hard of Hearing students in an educational setting by evaluating the student's hearing, listening, and auditory processing deficits that can affect their academic success, communication abilities, and psychosocial well-being. This position will be part of a multidisciplinary team that assists in providing a meaningful education program designed to meet each student's individual needs. This position is responsible for receiving referrals from districts, conducting audiological assessments and interpretations, and providing recommendations for assistive technology, remote microphone technology, supports and accommodations to the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) team. The Audiologist will work with IEP team members in the instruction and management of individual and classroom amplification and assistive listening devices. The position is under the general supervision of the program administrator and Special Education Director. Requirements / Qualifications
