Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with insurance verification and authorization processes. Bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish and English. Knowledge of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA. Responsibilities Greet and check in patients upon arrival, verifying personal and insurance information accurately. Confirm patient appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate medical staff. Maintain and update patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations. Collect co-pays and process payments, providing receipts and managing billing inquiries. Coordinate with medical staff to prepare patients for appointments and communicate any delays or changes. Manage office supplies and ensure the reception area is organized and welcoming. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents as needed.
