Sr Analyst, Quality Engineer - TOSCA

Nationwide’s Technology team is looking for a Senior Analyst, Quality Engineer to support Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) IT delivery. This hybrid position is based in Columbus, OH, with the team in the office Mon‑Tues each week. The role partners closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders on an agile team to ensure high‑quality, secure, and reliable delivery across PRT applications and integrated business processes. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with test planning, test design, test execution, defect management, and test automation, and will translate business requirements and user stories into effective end‑to‑end test coverage. The role also supports adoption of efficient, lean testing practices by leveraging risk‑based testing, automation, test data management, and regression testing approaches. Key Responsibilities Conduct quality planning, quality design, and execution across the delivery lifecycle. Analyze and review requirements, user stories, and technical work products. Apply secure software and systems engineering practices to protect data and technology solutions from threats and vulnerabilities. Design and create automation using appropriate quality engineering tools. Validate basic test results, record and research defects. Leverage test engineering and automation tools and techniques for each technology domain and application. Assist in identifying means to deliver more effective and efficient testing without compromising quality. Execute basic to moderate release testing and perform back‑out testing when needed. Identify, document, and report release test results. Address defects found in release testing and work with team members to resolve open testing issues. Align with Nationwide’s automated testing reference architecture and comply with release‑management process governance and timelines. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned. Typical Skills and Experiences Education: Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or a related field (preferred). Certifications: TOSCA Automated Specialist 1 (AS1), TOSCA Automated Specialist 2 (AS2), or other related designations (preferred). Experience: Two years of related experience with software delivery or educational experience in a technology domain; demonstrated experience testing for Agile teams, including planning, test‑plan creation, maintenance, and execution. Knowledge: Understanding of test automation and optimization across stacks and the tools that support it. Skills: Solid analytical and communication skills; ability to problem‑solve and set priorities. Industry knowledge in insurance or financial services is a plus. Leadership or technical competencies may take precedence. Job Conditions Overtime Eligibility: Exempt (Not Eligible). Working Conditions: Normal office environment; some travel may be required.
