Senior Medical Malpractice Attorney (Plaintiff)

Job Description Senior Medical Malpractice Attorney (Plaintiff) We are seeking an experienced Plaintiff Medical Malpractice Attorney with 10+ years of experience. Ideal prospects will be those attorneys who know how to evaluate cases, manage litigation strategically, develop client relationships, and drive successful outcomes. The right attorney will have the autonomy, resources, and support necessary to build a highly profitable practice. Our medical malpractice team represents individuals and families in complex, high-exposure claims arising from medical negligence involving physicians, hospitals, healthcare systems, long-term care facilities, and other healthcare providers. We are seeking an attorney capable of independently managing sophisticated litigation from intake through resolution and trial. Responsibilities Manage a significant caseload of plaintiff medical malpractice matters. Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial. Evaluate potential claims and develop litigation strategy. Work directly with clients, medical experts, and consulting professionals throughout the life of a case. Take and defend expert depositions. Draft and argue substantive motions. Participate in trial preparation and courtroom advocacy. Mentor junior attorneys and collaborate with firm leadership on case strategy and business development initiatives. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school. Active Illinois law license in good standing. 10+ years of medical malpractice litigation experience. Plaintiff-side medical malpractice experience strongly preferred . Proven ability to independently manage complex, high-value cases. Strong deposition, motion practice, negotiation, and courtroom skills. Trial experience is highly preferred. Excellent analytical, writing, and client management abilities. Demonstrated ability to evaluate cases and maximize outcomes for clients. Compensation & Opportunity We offer a compensation structure designed to reward experienced attorneys who know how to generate results. Senior attorneys can expect a total compensation package of approximately $300,000+ annually , including base salary, bonuses, and incentive compensation. For attorneys who understand how to effectively manage cases, develop client relationships, and maximize opportunities within an established platform, earning potential can exceed $500,000 annually .
