Physical Therapist - Outpatient/Ortho - Full-Time, Days

Physical Therapist – Outpatient/Ortho Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas TX 75231 Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Schedule: Monday – Thursday 10 am – 6:30 pm; Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. Responsibilities Use therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and treatment goals. Perform treatment procedures within the scope of the professional license. Perform or delegate technical procedures safely and appropriately. Utilize a variety of techniques to achieve patient goals as needed. Evaluate patient response to treatment and conduct reassessment. Educate patient and family through instruction, demonstration, handouts on treatment plan, safety, home programs, self‑management and assistive equipment. Maintain patient safety throughout treatment. Communicate with physicians and other healthcare personnel about patient care issues. Demonstrate competence in age‑appropriate patient treatment and individualize care based on age‑specific needs. Motivate non‑compliant or unmotivated patients to participate in therapy. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree completion of a Physical Therapy program. Texas Physical Therapy License required upon hire. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required prior to providing independent patient care; maintenance quarterly. Ortho experience highly preferred. Benefits 401(k) retirement plan.
