TridentCare is hiring a General Sonographer for a permanent mobile ultrasound position serving the Huntsville/Birmingham, Alabama area. You will travel to nursing homes, home-care facilities, and other assigned locations to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations using portable equipment. This direct-hire opportunity offers $35–$40 per hour based on experience, a company vehicle, day-shift hours, comprehensive benefits, and potential relocation assistance.

Position: Permanent / Direct Hire

Schedule: Day shift, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Hours: 8 hours/day

Weekend: Based on case load; overtime if needed

Company vehicle: Provided

Relocation: Possible, discussed during interview

Responsibilities

• Perform mobile ultrasound examinations using portable sonography equipment.
• Travel between nursing homes, healthcare facilities, and other assigned locations.
• Obtain clinically diagnostic and technically competent images.
• Digitally transmit ultrasound images to radiologists for interpretation.
• Verify physician orders and patient identity before examinations.
• Complete and scan exam-related paperwork and billing documentation.
• Communicate with dispatch, facilities, management, and clients.
• Maintain the company vehicle and ultrasound equipment.
• Work independently with minimal direct supervision.
• Respond promptly to dispatch requests and urgent communications.

Required Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI registration required.
• Echo and vascular modalities required.
• Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound technology program.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Limited licenses are not accepted.
• Maintain required certifications, registries, health requirements, and credentials.
• COVID-19 vaccination required, with an exemption process where applicable.
• Successful background check and drug screening required.

Pay:  $35–$40/hour , based on experience
