Position Summary

The HVAC Sales Representative, also known as a Comfort Advisor, will meet with homeowners to evaluate their heating and cooling needs and present appropriate system replacement, installation, indoor air quality, and maintenance solutions.

The representative will work with company-generated leads, technician referrals, existing customers, preventive maintenance customers, and self-generated opportunities. The primary objective is to convert qualified opportunities into profitable sales while providing an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet with homeowners to assess HVAC replacement and installation needs.
• Conduct in-home comfort assessments and gather information about the existing system, home, budget, and customer priorities.
• Recommend appropriately sized HVAC systems and related comfort solutions.
• Present good, better, and best options in a clear and professional manner.
• Prepare accurate estimates and proposals.
• Explain system features, warranties, financing options, energy-efficiency benefits, and available rebates.
• Follow up consistently with customers on open proposals.
• Convert technician-generated and company-generated leads into sales.
• Promote preventive maintenance agreements and indoor air quality solutions.
• Coordinate with installation, service, dispatch, and office teams to ensure a smooth customer experience.
• Maintain accurate customer, proposal, follow-up, and sales information in the company’s CRM or operating system.
• Monitor personal sales activity, close rate, average ticket, gross margin, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop referral relationships with homeowners, property managers, real estate professionals, and other local partners.
• Represent English Air Inc. professionally in the community.
• Remain current on HVAC equipment, energy-efficiency standards, financing programs, rebates, and industry developments.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in HVAC sales, home-services sales, or in-home consultative sales is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of residential HVAC systems is preferred.
• Ability to understand customer needs and translate technical information into clear, practical recommendations.
• Strong communication, presentation, listening, and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable discussing pricing, financing, and investment alternatives with homeowners.
• Demonstrated ability to follow up, manage a sales pipeline, and close opportunities.
• Self-motivated, organized, dependable, and results-oriented.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with service and installation teams.
• Comfortable using CRM software, mobile applications, email, and electronic proposal tools.
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to pass any employment-related background or drug screening required by the company.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of successful HVAC or home-services sales experience.
• Experience selling residential HVAC replacement systems.
• Familiarity with heat pumps, air-conditioning systems, indoor air quality products, ductwork, smart thermostats, and preventive maintenance agreements.
• Experience offering consumer financing and explaining manufacturer or utility rebates.
• Knowledge of the Greater Orlando residential market.
• NATE certification, HVAC technical training, or relevant sales training is a plus.

• Submit complete and accurate proposals that enable efficient installation.
• Work closely with operations to ensure that every promise made to the customer can be delivered.

Schedule

This is a full-time position. The schedule may include some evenings or Saturdays to accommodate homeowner availability and seasonal demand.
