Job Description & Requirements

Position Details:

• Registered Nurse (RN) – Birthing Unit (Labor & Delivery)

Schedule:

• Night Shift
• 3 × 12-hour shifts
• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 Hours/Week

Guaranteed Hours:

• 36 Hours/Week

Requirements:

• Experience circulating in Labor & Delivery required
• Local candidates accepted at $10/hour lower rate

Required Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery/Birthing Unit experience
• Circulating experience required

Required Certifications:

• BLS
• ACLS
• NRP
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) – Intermediate level or higher (recent)

Preferred Certifications:

• Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO)
• NCC Perinatal Certifications (Maternal Newborn Nursing or Inpatient Obstetric Nursing)
• First Latch (Breastfeeding Certification)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn patients
• Circulate during Cesarean section procedures
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using electronic fetal monitoring
• Assist physicians during labor and delivery
• Educate patients and families on postpartum and newborn care
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
