About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of Med Surg experience required; step down/PCU experience is required. License: Valid state license required Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Must be comfortable floating frequently among units. Description: This role involves working in a Step Down unit. The nurse will frequently float to Med Surg and Telemetry units. The patient ratios are as follows: Step Down 1:4-5 and Med Surg 1:5-6. Candidates must have experience in Med Surg nursing. Comfort with floating to multiple units is essential. The facility may float nurses based on clinical experience. Patients in the unit present with a range of diagnoses, including oncology, wounds, sepsis, and various chronic conditions. Nurses will be responsible for a diverse array of patient care tasks. The facility prioritizes high-quality patient care. Applicants should be prepared to engage with an interdisciplinary support team. Schedule includes weekdays, every other weekend, and holiday shifts as needed. Expectations include active participation in patient care and collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
