Position Summary: The Coatings Line Shift Lead is responsible for ensuring that all OPM's are completed and logged; recording line stoppages; meeting scheduled completion dates while partnering with the CDS. Lead is to ensure that proper cross training is being done and timely. Leads are expected to provide overall supervision of the line and to handle any issues that may arise and to communicate them to the rest of the organization. Lead is to handle any personnel issues, such as time and attendance, while collaborating with the HR Department.

• Determine Daily and Weekly Load Schedule
• Critical Communication
• Staffing
• Training
• Filling Out Timesheets
• Reporting at Production Meetings
• Keep Metrics Boards Updated
• Troubleshooting
• Respond to Emails
• Figure Paint Hours
• Ordering Consumables
• Auditing All Functions
• Entering Parts into Computer
• May perform other duties as assigned

• Yellow Tag Rack
• Auditing All Quality

Coatings Line Shift Lead PM and 6S Responsibilities:

• Auditing OPM's
• Auditing 6S

Coatings Line Shift Lead Skills and Specifications:

• Completion of operator training program.
• Ability to perform any process on the Coatings Line.
• Ability to safely operate a fork truck.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer proficient skills in G-Suite and/or MS Office.
• Epicor ERP.
• Ability to train other employees.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Solid problem-solving skills.
• Ability to contribute and work in a team environment.
• Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness to ensure first quality of work.
• Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in the course of work.
• Willingness to work additional hours in order to meet tight deadlines.

Coatings Line Shift Lead Education and Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5 years' experience in powder coating required.
• Experience with Data Paq, Holiday Testing, DFT testing, Profile Testing and Color Matching Paint.

Coatings Line Shift Lead Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of Coatings Line Shift Lead, the employee is continually required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee is occasionally required to crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Coatings Line Shift Lead Work Environment:

While performing the duties of Coatings Line Shift Lead, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
