2nd Shift Quality Inspector

Quality Control InspectorPerform inspections and associated activities against the company quality program in accordance with specified requirements.Essential Duties And Other Responsibilities:Perform QC inspection support throughout the receiving, fabrication stages and shippingIn process and/or final inspections and audits to specified requirements in a timely and accurate manner in order to assist the Quality Manager in providing concise, useful and unambiguous reportsRead and apply company and customer prints and specifications as the quality criteria during inspectionsInterface with others internally and externally to the company and communicate quality problems in a professional and effective mannerBe guided in daily workload promptly and effectivelyAssist in internal auditingHelp maintain the Quality drive (Q-Drive)Assist in the maintenance of the ISO/API Document Control SystemPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma or G.E.D.2-3 years-experience / basic knowledge of fabrication techniques including welding, CNC, forming, assembly, coating and warehousingMust be able to effectively work independently, be well organized, and detail orientedMust be able to interface with others in a professional mannerBasic knowledge of good inspection techniquesMust have mechanical ability, an eye for abnormalities, and aptitude for detailLanguage Skills:Ability to read and interpret documentsAbility to write routine reports in a professional mannerMathematical Skills:Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole, fractional and decimal numbersReasoning Ability:Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram formHandle problems involving variables in a standardized situationAbility to make decisions and know when/where to make concessionsComputer Skills: Basic knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.Physical Demands:Regularly walk, sit, talk and hearRegular use of dimensional equipment such as calipers, gages, and measuring equipmentWork Environment:NoisyNon-Air-Conditioned work areaBusy forklift traffic zonesFast pacedAbout CST Industries CST Industries, Inc., headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, is the global leader in the manufacture and construction of factory coated storage tanks, silos, aluminum domes and specialty covers.
