Direct Support Professional (DSP) lI: OIDD - Coastal Autism CTH)

Job Responsibilities Direct Support Professional provides compassionate care and supports residents with autism and related developmental disabilities. Under the supervision of the Residential Manager and House Manager, responsibilities include: Supervise, assist, and train consumers with autism in daily living skills such as cooking, personal grooming, and social skills. Implement identified therapeutic treatment plans and maintain all required behavior or motivational plans. Record and chart data as required. Assist consumers in performing community‑oriented activities. Maintain the operation and cleanliness of the residence and vehicles, including housekeeping and food preparation. Administer prescribed medication and maintain documentation in accordance with agency, division, and medical standards. Ensure accountability of residents and maintain a safe, clean environment. Demonstrate competency using Therap and relevant staff items on the Residential Observation Review Tool. Attend scheduled staff meetings, complete reports on time, and maintain required certifications and training. Report significant events and suspected abuse immediately per agency and office policies. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum and Additional Requirements High School Diploma or GED. Three (3) years of experience working with individuals with disabilities and special needs. Valid driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications Administrative skills and general knowledge of intellectual disabilities. Basic computer skills, including use of Therap and SCEIS Central for time and leave purposes. Knowledge of federal and state regulations and basic safety practices. Physical ability to lift, push, stand, stoop, kneel, and run. Comfort working with individuals who may be physically aggressive or medically fragile. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments for certain periods.
