• Schedule: Monday - Friday (Full Time)

The Accounting Clerk provides financial, administrative, and clerical support to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payments and accounting transactions. This role is responsible for helping the organization maintain financial accuracy by recording receipts, reconciling accounts, resolving discrepancies, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain account ledgers by verifying, recording, and posting financial transactions.

• Process customer payments by accurately recording cash, check, and credit card transactions and entering them into the appropriate system on a daily basis.

• Reconcile processed transactions by verifying entries and comparing system reports to account balances.

• Prepare daily bank deposits by totaling and recording cash and check payments, completing deposit slips, and securing funds for deposit.

• Complete and distribute the daily collections report to appropriate stakeholders via email.

• Process subcontractor invoices on a weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.

• Monitor and manage the centralized accounting inbox, responding to inquiries and routing communications to the appropriate team members.

• Assist in identifying and resolving billing, payment, and account discrepancies.

• Maintain the confidentiality and security of financial information and sensitive company data.

• Support the accounting team with special projects, audits, reporting activities, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Related Field is a Plus

• At least 2yrs of Accounting Experience – Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

• Prior Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce, & Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel)

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
