Full-Charge Bookkeeper

Full-Charge BookkeeperWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full-Charge Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping operations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, dependable, and comfortable handling the full accounting cycle with minimal supervision.ResponsibilitiesManage all day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functionsRecord and reconcile bank and credit card transactionsManage accounts payable and accounts receivablePrepare and process invoices, payments, and depositsPerform monthly bank, credit card, and account reconciliationsMaintain accurate general ledger recordsPrepare monthly financial statements and management reportsManage payroll and related payroll tax filings, as applicablePrepare sales tax and other required financial reportsMaintain organized and accurate accounting recordsSupervise office staff responsible for: Payroll, Accounts Payable, Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, Cash Collection, Loss Control, and Purchasing.Review job costs and overheads for corrective actionEstablish approval of procedures for capital expenditures and general purchaseAssist with budgeting, cash-flow tracking, and financial analysisCoordinate with the CPA/tax accountant for year-end closing and tax preparationIdentify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues promptlyMaintain confidentiality of sensitive financial informationQualifications4+ years of full-charge bookkeeping or job costing accounting3 + years of people management experience within an accounting or finance departmentStrong understanding of the full accounting cycleQuickBooks proficiency is preferredProficiency with Microsoft ExcelStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organizational and time-management skillsAbility to work independently and meet deadlinesStrong communication and problem-solving skillsExperience with payroll, sales tax, and financial reporting preferredAdvanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, V lookups, H lookups, VBA, and Macros, etc.)Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance requiredCPA designation preferred**Prior Construction Accounting Experience Highly Preferred**Benefits:PTO – Paid Time off and company paid holidaysMedicalSimple IRA with employer contributionPaid Professional and Industry certifications and trainingFun, family focused culture
