Accounting Manager

Our client is searching for an accounting manager to join their team. This is a Monday-Friday, Direct hire position. Hours are Mon-Thur, 7am-4pm and Friday, 7am-noon.

Position overview:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for the preparation, management, and analysis of all accounting data related to company operations. This role provides quantitative insight into financial performance, position, solvency, liquidity, and cash flows. The Accounting Manager reports directly to the company President and Vice President.

Key Responsibilities

  • AIA billing preparation and submission
  • Accounts payable payment approval and processing
  • Accounts receivable cash reconciliation
  • Payroll processing and payroll tax compliance, including all union-related obligations
  • Union employee maintenance and reporting
  • Sales employee commission tracking and payment administration
  • Change order oversight and processing
  • Month-end and year-end close processes
  • Collection, analysis, and summarization of account information
  • Development of periodic management reports, including monthly profit and loss statements
  • Auditing of financial transactions and documentation of internal accounting controls
  • Maintenance of data confidentiality and security, including routine database backups
  • Union benefit processing and oversight
  • Additional duties as assigned
