Psychiatrist, Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor, Psychiatry, Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) Stony Brook University – Stony Brook, New York. Type: Full‑time Salary: Starting at $336,000 per year (+ eligibility for moonlighting and a faculty practice after‑hours program) Schedule: 40 hours per week comprising four 10‑hour afternoon/evening shifts (1 pm‑11 pm); one weekend shift per week; weekends and holidays required; cross‑coverage as necessary. Responsibilities Perform psychiatric evaluation and management of patients in the CPEP/ED of University Hospital. Provide clinical care, including crisis intervention and ongoing treatment. Teach and supervise medical students and residents in emergency psychiatry. Participate in clinical coverage and cross‑coverage as required. Qualifications MD/DO or foreign equivalent. New York State medical license, or eligibility to obtain one. Board certification or eligibility in adult psychiatry. Clinical experience in a Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (or similar setting). Track record of teaching in emergency psychiatry. Training in child psychiatry (preferred). Position Details Tenure/non‑tenure track assignment. FLSA exempt; not eligible for overtime. Anticipated start date: As soon as possible.
