Construction Manager - VA Medical Center (Lake City, FL)

About the Role SIRIS is seeking a Construction Manager to support a VA Medical Center project in Lake City, Florida. This role leads complex federal healthcare construction projects involving data center infrastructure, IT systems integration, and hospital facility upgrades, where technical quality, cost control, schedule performance, and compliance are critical. You will work closely with the Program Manager, VA client staff, and project stakeholders to oversee execution and ensure alignment with project requirements. This is a high‑visibility role supporting mission‑critical infrastructure within a regulated federal environment. What You’ll Do Oversee construction execution with responsibility for technical quality, cost, and schedule performance Analyze and monitor project financial data, budget performance, and cost trends Review construction schedules and support progress and performance evaluations Participate in progress meetings and assist with issue identification and resolution Review testing, inspection, and quality assurance documentation for compliance Support claims administration, change management, and contract modifications Review contractor documentation and reported progress for alignment with construction documents and approved schedules Prepare analytical reports, correspondence, and program status updates Maintain tracking tools and reporting systems supporting program oversight Advise program leadership on construction management best practices and compliance considerations Who Will Succeed in This Role Experience supporting complex construction projects in healthcare, federal, or institutional environments is highly valued Experience with data center infrastructure, IT systems integration, or telecommunications upgrades is strongly preferred Comfortable managing cost, schedule, and compliance across multidisciplinary projects Able to operate independently while collaborating with program leadership, clients, and contractors Strong organizational and analytical mindset Effective communicator across technical and non‑technical stakeholders Detail‑oriented with strong attention to accuracy and compliance Demonstrates accountability and sound judgment Qualifications Required 3+ years of experience in construction administration, construction management, or a related field Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams OSHA 30 certification is required for this role and must be maintained throughout employment Preferred Experience supporting federal or VA construction projects Professional certifications such as CCM, PMP, PE, or equivalent Experience working in regulated environments (federal, healthcare, institutional) Familiarity with project controls, QA/QC processes, and contract administration Experience with Procore or similar construction management platforms Education Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will be considered Additional Requirements Familiarity with construction practices, quality assurance, scheduling, cost management, and change management Ability to exercise independent judgment in administrative, financial, and compliance matters Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Procore Strong written, verbal, and organizational communication skills Work Environment Full‑time onsite role at an active construction site and office environment Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use standard office equipment Reasonable accommodations will be provided to qualified individuals with disabilities in accordance with applicable law Federal & VA Program Requirements Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of background checks and VA suitability requirements Must adhere to all site safety, security, and confidentiality policies Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision (99% of individual base plan paid by company; 50% for dependents) 401(k) with up to 4% company match Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays Annual bonus eligibility Equal Opportunity Employer SIRIS, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer and federal contractor.
