The Saut Cook will prepare high-quality saut food items to order while exceeding guests' expectations by following recipes, presentation guidelines and Vista specifications. Produce food accordingly in a timely fashion. To keep the Vista kitchen safe and ensure proper food safety and sanitation standards are upheld.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

• Ensure special guest requests are accommodated while delivering high-quality standards.
• Fabricating and cooking all saut proteins to ticket temperature requests.
• Preparing and completing all tasks on daily station line prep lists.
• Ensuring product par levels are adequate for the day's service needs.
• Communicating with other stations on the line to ensure proper table ticket times are met.
• Maintain proper cleanliness of the station.
• Follow proper sanitation and food rotation procedures.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).
• Two (2) years saut cooking in a high-volume restaurant.
• Any combination of education and experience that clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties of the position.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of meat and seafood cuts.
• Ability to handle and work multiple styles of proteins and stations with little or no difficulty and minimal assistance.
• Proven working knowledge of kitchen design and the operation of grills, roast-and-hold ovens, conventional and convection ovens, fryers, etc.
