Opportunity: Physician - Radiology - Interventional Job Details: Locum tenens Interventional Radiology coverage for a gap in schedule 8-hour day shifts generally between 8a-4p, with evening call 4p-8a and 24-hour call on weekends Average of 10-15 procedures performed during the 8-hour on-site day shift Call back expected primarily for emergencies during weekday and weekend call shifts No diagnostic reading required between IR cases Required procedures include: Diagnostic and therapeutic vascular intervention including angiography (venous and arterial), angioplasty, stenting, thrombolytic therapy, and embolization therapy Vascular access devices including PICCs, central lines, port-a-cath insertions, and IVC filters TIPS and aspiration/drainage procedures Percutaneous needle biopsies (above and below diaphragm, and bone) Extractions (biliary and renal), abscess drainage, thoracentesis, and paracentesis Myelography, pain management procedures, and percutaneous transhepatic cholangiogram Blood patch, joint/epidural injections, vertebroplasty, and arthrograms Chest tube insertion, uterine artery embolization, and liver Y90/TACE Gastrostomy tube insertion, nephrostomy/ureteral stent insertion, renal fistulograms, and cryoablation Neuro (head) stroke thrombectomy - required EMR: Epic Board Certification required Active ND license highly preferred; IMLC required if ND license is not active IR residency or fellowship required ACLS and BLS required Clean malpractice history highly preferred Must have experience with all required procedures Self-Query NPDB report must be dated within 30 days of presentation date Procedure list must be completed using 'Yes' or 'No' responses indicating whether the provider has completed each procedure Credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days; ND license and credentialing/enrollment paperwork required prior to start Travel accommodations available; will accept traveling providers who require a flight Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
