Crew Foreman

The crew foreman will serve as the day-to-day leader on each assigned job, with the responsibility to serve as first point of contact with clients and the successful management of all job related tasks & duties. The expectation of this seasoned professional is compliance with company policies, successful completion of all assigned projects, and development of strong relationships with clients and all team members. By maintaining these relationships, the foreman will influence repeat business and enhance Sussex Tree’s reputation within the industry.

BACKGROUND

Individuals becoming crew foreman have most likely worked in the industry in another capacity such as groundsman, climbers, or operators.

ROLES

• Management and execution – Will manage all aspects of assigned jobs that can be complex in nature.
• Client relationship management – Will nurture relationships with our clients and act as their advocate.
• Management of people – Will manage a crew of staff to successfully execute and complete jobs in a timely manner.
• Planning – Will lead the daily planning efforts necessary to ensure manpower and materials are organized to execute jobs in accordance with assigned deadlines.

DUTIES

• Actively participate in available training and development sessions/workshops and seek out and participate in additional industry related training opportunities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and other industry professionals in an effort to develop future business opportunities for Sussex Tree, Inc.
• Provide mentoring and training to other crew members to help elevate their performance
• Maintain and demonstrate adherence to all company processes and standards
• Main point of contact for all crew responsibilities to include (equipment, vehicles, safety, crew members, and assigned tasks).

QUALIFICATIONS

• In depth working knowledge of the tree care industry with minimum of (1) year experience
• Excellent communication skills required
• Leadership skills necessary to manage a variety of crew members through tasks to obtain positive outcomes
• Must present a positive personal image
• Must have valid CDL class A drivers license.
