Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center in Chesapeake, Virginia. Our facility is designed to facilitate patient independence and comfort, offering a variety of therapy rooms equipped with the latest technology and therapeutic aids. You will work from Monday to Friday, operating within a schedule from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This regular schedule supports a healthy work-life balance while delivering quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations, using diagnostic tools to create tailored treatment plans that address individual goals.
• Provide skilled therapy interventions, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and the application of modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation to facilitate recovery and improve physical function.
• Monitor patient progress through regular assessments and documentation, ensuring treatment plans remain dynamic and aligned with achieving optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals—including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech therapists—to create an integrative approach to patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation strategies, home exercise programs, and fall prevention measures to empower them in their care journey.
• Implement safety measures within the facility to minimize risks and enhance patient safety, particularly for those in assisted living communities.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in physical therapy, engaging in ongoing professional development and continuing education opportunities.
• Maintain adherence to ethical and professional standards, ensuring confidentiality and a high level of care at all times.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMRs) and documentation processes related to patient care.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices in physical therapy and the ability to apply modern therapeutic techniques in various situations.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for the Physical Therapist position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
