Step into a dynamic school-based Speech Language Pathologist opportunity in the Rockville, Maryland/Washington DC area for the upcoming academic year! This contract position offers a chance to support students of various age groups—elementary, middle, and potentially high school—throughout a rewarding period from August 25, 2026, to June 11, 2027. Assignments are thoughtfully tailored to your skills and preferences, with supervisors collaborating to find the best fit for your expertise and location.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active Maryland SLP license required (please provide images of licensure)
• CCC-SLP strongly preferred; exceptional CFY candidates will be considered
• Commitment to on-site services
• At least one year of school-based experience preferred, though strong references or relevant experience may be considered
• Understanding of caseload management—elementary caseloads up to 40, middle school around 48, with a potential peak of 57
• House Bill background check required for credentialing

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language therapy to students across up to two or three schools
• Manage assigned caseloads, with support to ensure manageable distribution
• Participate in individualized education program (IEP) meetings and collaborate with school staff
• Complete timely and accurate documentation of services
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students

Position Details:

• 35 hours per week preferred; part-time must include at least three days per week
• Assignments may include 4 days at one school, 1 day at another, or a similar arrangement
• Caseloads and school assignments to be confirmed based on your comfort level and experience
