About the Job TRAILER TECHNICIAN - HOUSTON, TX FleetPride's Houston location is looking for an experienced Trailer Technician! If you have strong heavy-duty trailer repair and trailer body experience , enjoy working with your hands, and take pride in quality repairs, we want to hear from you! - Diagnose and repair heavy-duty trailers.
- Perform preventative maintenance and DOT inspections.
- Repair trailer brakes, air systems, suspension, wheel ends, landing gear, and other mechanical components.
- Perform trailer body repairs , including panels, doors, floors, roofs, crossmembers, and structural components.
- Repair and replace trailer doors, hinges, hardware, and related components.
- Perform welding and fabrication as needed.
- Troubleshoot trailer electrical and ABS systems.
- Complete work orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Follow all safety procedures and industry standards.
- REQUIRED: Heavy-duty trailer body repair experience.
- 3+ years of trailer repair experience preferred.
- Strong experience with trailer body repairs and structural components.
- Experience with panels, doors, floors, roofs, crossmembers, landing gear, and trailer structural repairs.
- Mechanical trailer repair experience, including brakes, suspension, wheel ends, and air systems.
- Welding/fabrication experience preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Own tools.
- Steel/composite-toe boots required on day one.
- Commitment to safety and quality.
