Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU, requiring PALS certification and at least one year of relevant experience.

Details

• Cardio PICU unit within a hospital setting
• Care for pediatric patients with cardiovascular conditions ranging from simple to complex
• Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by Oklahoma Board of Nursing or current multistate compact (eNLC) license
• BLS and PALS certifications required (American Heart Association only)
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required (BSN preferred)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care

Additional Information

• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and notes changes in physician orders
• Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Monitors physiological data and intervenes as needed
• Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products
• Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge planning
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration
• Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation is required before reapplying afterward
• Compliance requirements must be completed promptly, as start dates will not be pushed
