This dual-focus role prioritizes the management of a robust, secure, and scalable technological backbone while ensuring that technology meaningfully enhances instruction through curriculum development and instructional software integration (20%). The Coordinator provides expert leadership in systems architecture, network operations, and the strategic application of digital tools to support the district's educational mission. The Coordinator should possess a broad working knowledge of computers, networks, and other technologies, computer applications, and instructional software; an in-depth understanding of curriculum development; knowledge of content-area curricula and standards; and direct knowledge of teaching and instruction. Responsibilities Leads the ongoing collaborative development and implementation of the district’s technology vision Project manager for all technology-related projects throughout the district Works in partnership with the Principal, Director of Academics, Director of CTE, and Administration to develop instructional practices that leverage digital learning and instruction Oversee the implementation of digital learning as part of the statewide frameworks, including the Curriculum Frameworks, Computer Science and Digital Literacy Standards, and the related Vocational Education Frameworks Coordinate and develop professional development and training efforts in technology across the system, including administrators, teachers, and support staff Coordinate the design, development, maintenance, and oversight of the technology infrastructure, including the network infrastructure, hardware, and software licensing to support connectivity for students, faculty, and staff to computing resources and applications provided by a network, including file and application servers. Coordinates the system-wide inventory of technology assets Coordinates the development and maintenance of computing standards relative to an overall strategy to provide an appropriate degree of standardization Maintains and recommends all technology-related district policies with feedback provided by Administration, the technology team, and in accordance with industry standards. Recommends and oversees all the technological needs, which include infrastructure, hardware, and software, with the necessary constituents Evaluates all district data systems and develops/executes a global strategic plan to integrate systems Purchase, monitor, and document software and online programs for the district Work with administrators, department leads, and teachers in applications and selection of appropriate software and hardware Oversee and assist in state and federal reporting requirements Oversee the development, purchase, and deployment of the technology budget District contact for all technology-related communication Provide leadership in the development, implementation, and facilitation of a comprehensive plan to increase proficiency in digital learning for instruction. Coordinate the development and help facilitate day‑to‑day operational plans with administrators, department leads, Instructional Technology Specialists, Library Media Specialist, and teachers for technology use and integration within the existing curricula Supervises and coordinates Next Gen MCAS 2.0, or state‑mandated high‑stakes equivalent, allocation of resources and technical support Provide leadership to others in the technology department through planning and coordination of priorities and schedules Provides supervision and evaluation of all technology personnel to foster shared leadership and collaboration Serves as a clearinghouse of information on trends, research, applications, and effective practices related to the use of technology in the schools. Liaison with established state and national technology groups Promotes the school district on local, state, and national levels through conferences, workshops, seminars, and technology associations Develop annual goals and a timeline for the technology plan. Oversee the reporting to the DESE as it relates to student data Directs the design, implementation, and maintenance of the district's network infrastructure, including wired/wireless connectivity and server environments. Serves as the lead project manager for all enterprise‑wide technology initiatives, ensuring on‑time and within‑budget delivery of infrastructure upgrades. Evaluates, develops, and executes a global strategic plan to integrate disparate district data systems for improved operational efficiency. Oversees the hardware lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, and decommissioning of all district computing assets and peripherals. Manages software licensing and compliance, ensuring all administrative and operational platforms are properly maintained and updated. Establishes and enforces district‑wide computing standards and technical protocols to provide a consistent and secure operating environment. Maintains and updates technology‑related district policies in accordance with industry security standards and legal requirements. Oversees the development, purchase, and deployment of the annual technology budget, focusing on infrastructure stability and ROI. Provides supervision and performance evaluation for all technology department personnel, fostering a culture of technical excellence and accountability. Coordinates system‑wide technical support and resource allocation for state‑mandated online assessments (e.g., MCAS 2.0). Partner with academic leadership to develop instructional practices that leverage digital learning and instruction. Provide leadership in the development and implementation of a comprehensive plan to increase proficiency in digital learning for instruction. Work with administrators, department leads, and teachers to support the application and selection of appropriate software and hardware. Support teachers in integrating technology into existing curricula. Oversee the professional development and training efforts in technology and digital learning across the system. Ensure the curriculum is aligned with statewide frameworks, such as Computer Science and Digital Literacy Standards. The Coordinator of Educational Technology and Digital Learning will report directly to the Director of Business Operations.

Position Type: Full‑time Salary: $90,000 to $120,000 Per Year Administration > Director/Coordinator/Manager Administration > Technology Job Requirements Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Workforce Development, Business Administration, or related field Required: Minimum of 5 years of teaching or relevant technology education experience Required: At least 4 years of progressive administrative and supervisory experience Required: Proven fiscal management skills, including budget planning and reporting Required: Experience working with post‑secondary programs, adult education, or community‑based and/or business/industry contract training Required: Knowledge of Massachusetts Chapter 74 and adult licensure programs Required: Licensure (or eligibility) from MA DESE as a Supervisor/Coordinator (9–14), Principal/Asst. Principal (9 - 14) or Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent (9–14) Preferred: Master’s Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Public Administration, or related field Preferred: Demonstrated experience with workforce development partnerships, apprenticeship models, and articulation agreements Preferred: Familiarity with DESE, accreditation standards, and occupational licensure processes Preferred: Experience in marketing, communications, and community engagement Preferred: Strong analytical and data management skills for tracking enrollment, fiscal health and program impact Preferred: Working Conditions - Standard office environment within a school setting Preferred: Working Conditions - Frequent evening hours required Preferred: Working Conditions - Occasional off‑site travel to meet with partners or attend regional events Preferred: Working Conditions - Position requires occasional lifting and physical setup for events or instructional materials At least 5 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
