Senior Accounting Manager

Role Overview


Process-oriented Accounting Manager to lead the day-to-day execution of our month-end close and financial operations. As we integrate acquired businesses, you will be the "boots on the ground" ensuring that our team delivers high-quality work and that our internal records are accurate, reconciled, and ready for our first-ever audit. This is a high-growth role with exposure to technical accounting and business combinations.

Key Responsibilities


1. Month-End Close Execution & Review

• Checklist Management: Drive the monthly end checklist to completion, ensuring all tasks-from Bank Recs to Equity Rollforwards-are finalized on schedule.
• Secondary Review: Perform detailed reviews of work completed by the on/off-shore team, specifically focusing on AP, Prepaids, Fixed Asset depreciation, and Intercompany reconciliations.
• Flux Analysis: Prepare initial flux analysis at the subsidiary and consolidated levels to explain monthly variances in the P&L and Balance Sheet.

2. Clean-up & Standardization

• GL Hygiene: Execute a retrospective cleanup of GL coding across all acquired entities to ensure a unified Chart of Accounts.
• Template Building: Build and "own" the standard templates for all recurring reconciliations, ensuring they meet audit-ready standards.
• Process Walkthroughs: Document existing processes for AP, Payroll, and Fixed Assets, identifying weaknesses and implementing "10x" improvements.

3. Core Accounting Operations

• Fixed Assets & Leases: Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and Lease Accounting schedules (ASC 842), including monthly amortization and rollforwards.
• Treasury & AR: Monitor working capital and cash positioning; perform AR reviews and manage the "Deposit Liability" amortization process.
• Tax Compliance: Coordinate with external tax partners to ensure all compliance filings are tracked and supported by accurate GL data.

4. Audit Readiness

• Cut-off Procedures: Implement and enforce strict 12/31/25 cut-off procedures to ensure a clean transition into the new fiscal year.
• Documentation: Ensure every entry has a clear "audit trail," including supporting schedules and memos for any non-routine adjustments.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5-7 years of accounting experience. A mix of Big 4/National firm audit and private industry is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of US GAAP and the ability to apply it to everyday transactions (Prepaids, Accruals, Fixed Assets).
• Communication: Proactive. Ability to manage and mentor off-shore staff effectively, providing clear feedback and instructions.
