Fabricator

Fabricator / Machinist Operates machines and presses for the purpose of fabricating various components. Essential Functions: Performing burning, grinding, shearing, sawing, turning and press brake operations to produce a quality product. Perform inspection on product utilizing Total Quality concepts. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as scheduled. Accurately report daily activities on work orders and KanBan cards and other media as required. Conduct required quality checks using basic measurement equipment. Keep work area clean and free of hazards. Exercise safe work habits. All other duties as assigned. Education and Training High School Diploma/GED required. Prior machine / press experience, 1-2 yrs. preferred Minimum Qualifications Mechanical aptitude with a demonstrated ability to work in a production environment. Ability to follow operation procedures and assess problems and recommend solutions to resolve problems. Must be able to meet production standards and follow instructions. Must pass drug screen and remain drug free throughout the term of employment. Must follow all safety practices and policies. Physical Demands Constant standing, walking, balancing, twisting and using lower extremities. Frequent bending, reaching, and strongly grasping. Occasional lightly grasping and pinching. Minimal squatting, kneeling, and climbing. Ability to lift/push/carry objects up to 100 lbs. occasionally, 50 lbs. frequently, and/or 20 lbs. constantly. Environmental Conditions Work environment: Manufacturing. Non-temperature-controlled manufacturing facility. Lighting: Adequate. Ventilation: Adequate. Temperature: Non-temperature controlled. Must wear eye, ear, and foot protection.
