Implementation Specialist

Location : Remote

Reports to: Manager, Platform Advisory Services

The Implementation Specialist's primary goal is to successfully manage and coordinate customer implementation projects throughout the customer lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, technology migrations, and customer environment changes. Implementation Specialists serve as the primary project manager and customer point of contact, partnering with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless implementation experience while ensuring projects remain on schedule, risks are proactively managed, and customer expectations are consistently exceeded.

This position is ideal for candidates with experience in technical project management, customer implementations, professional services, or customer success who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy coordinating complex, cross-functional initiatives. The role requires exceptional organization, communication, and problem-solving skills to successfully guide customers through implementation milestones while collaborating closely with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Platform Operations, Cloud Operations, Security Operations, Product, Executive Leadership, and other internal stakeholders.

Candidates must display the ability to manage multiple concurrent customer projects with competing priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. Candidates must also be comfortable communicating with both technical and executive stakeholders, facilitating meetings, identifying project risks, and driving action items to completion. This position is virtual/remote, working from a home office. While the role does not require customer-related travel, occasional travel may be expected for internal collaboration, company meetings, training, or team events.

In this role, you'll get to:

• Serve as the primary project manager for customer onboarding, offboarding, migration, and customer change initiatives from kickoff through completion.
• Develop, maintain, and execute detailed implementation project plans, timelines, milestones, and customer deliverables.
• Lead customer kickoff meetings, recurring status meetings, milestone reviews, and project closeout sessions.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities across internal teams including:
  • Solutions Engineering
  • Platform SIEM Engineering/Operations
  • Cloud Operations
  • Security Operations
  • Product Management
  • Customer Success
  • Executive Leadership/C-Suite
  • Sales
  • Marketing
• Track project milestones, action items, dependencies, and risks while ensuring timely completion of customer deliverables.
• Manage customer onboarding activities, including implementation planning, documentation reviews, scheduling, and readiness assessments.
• Coordinate customer offboarding activities, including project planning, data transfer coordination, documentation, and service termination milestones.
• Manage customer migrations, including platform transitions, SIEM migrations, MDR service transitions, and other implementation projects.
• Coordinate customer environment updates such as organization name changes, identity provider changes, and service configuration updates.
• Facilitate communication between customers and internal technical teams to ensure alignment throughout project execution.
• Identify project risks, remove blockers, escalate issues when necessary, and proactively communicate mitigation plans.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, implementation workbooks, project trackers, and customer records.
• Ensure customer expectations are managed through clear, timely, and professional communication.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve implementation processes, documentation, and customer experience.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects as needed.

You'll be successful in this role, if you:

• Have 2+ years of experience in technical project management, customer implementations, professional services, customer success, or a related field.
• Have experience managing multiple concurrent customer-facing projects from initiation through completion.
• Understand project management methodologies, risk management, stakeholder communication, and change management principles.
• Are highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Can effectively coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver projects on schedule.
• Communicate clearly and confidently with technical, operational, and executive-level stakeholders.
• Have experience facilitating customer meetings and presenting project status updates.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and proactively identify solutions to project challenges.
• Have experience using project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, Salesforce, Smartsheet, Asana, or similar platforms.
• Can create and maintain detailed project documentation, implementation plans, and customer-facing documentation.
• Are comfortable learning cybersecurity concepts, security operations workflows, and managed security services.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment with evolving priorities.
• Hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Hold project management certifications such as CAPM, PMP, Agile, Scrum, or similar certifications (preferred).

Statutory Pay Disclosure:

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $75,000 - $90,000 + stock options + benefits. Actual compensation may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
