Bleach Plant Manager

Title: Bleach Plant Manager Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA Salary: $135,600 - $169,600 Schedule: 5/8’s Relocation Available The Bleach Plant Manager plans, directs and coordinates all manufacturing activities for the plant including production, materials, quality control, environmental, health and safety and engineering to produce products in the most cost effective way while meeting shipping requirements and sales commitments. The Plant Manager develops and executes a plant vision and strategy to provide short and long term goals for the site. Essential Job Functions: Directs production and ensures cost effectiveness and consistency with prescribed quality, safety, accuracy and performance standards Assures compliance of all plant operations with company policy and federal, state and local regulations Monitors operation expenses and researches ways to reduce costs while maintaining product quality Encourages and promotes continuous improvement operations Represents the company on various committees within the local communities and organizations; participates in plant and Division audits, interfaces with internal and external auditors and regulatory and government agency personnel Manages and motivates direct reports; reviews, assesses and provides direct and immediate performance feedback as needed; develops and builds employee skills, professional development and enables employees to optimize their contribution to the department Trains and prepares for potential roles as outlined in Plant Emergency Procedures Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree*; Engineering or other Technical field strongly preferred Minimum of 6 years manufacturing or operations experience Prior supervisory experience in manufacturing Knowledgeable of federal, state, and local environmental and work place standards as they apply to operating areas, including OSHA, EPA, and FRA/DOT Previous experience/broad understanding of safety systems and enforcement of safety rules and policies. Experience with emergency response preferred.
