We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineering Manager to lead a team of six talented design engineers supporting the development of cutting-edge medical device products. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineering leader who enjoys mentoring teams, driving product development, and collaborating across a dynamic engineering organization.

This long-term contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on innovative products that improve patient outcomes while working alongside a highly skilled and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 6 Mechanical Design Engineers
• Drive product design and development activities from concept through production
• Provide technical guidance on mechanical design, manufacturability, and engineering best practices
• Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, and Project Management
• Support design reviews, prototype builds, testing, and product improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 7+ years of mechanical design and product development experience
• Strong CAD and mechanical design background
• Medical device experience highly preferred
• Experience with plastic part design and injection molding is a plus
