About ThePosition Responsible for providing leadership, coordination, technical expertise and labor management for all project site work activities and supervision of on-site work teams. This position works closely with project managers and work teams to meet labor requirements and ensure successful execution of project work, in alignment with all Company policies, procedures, key objectives, regulations and applicable union bargaining agreements. Day inthe Life Studies specifications and drawings and collaborates with project managers and others to review, estimate, and schedule workforce requirements by project and local jurisdiction. Works with field operations team to select foremen for specific projects. Develops and implements site utilization plans and establishes crew sizes. Responsible for the project's overall progress. Interfaces with other departments to ensure the coordination and scheduling of labor, and the delivery of equipment and materials support project schedules. Creates, reviews and updates project schedules and three-week look ahead scheduling. Coordinates effective pre-construction planning sessions, project startup meetings and project site meetings. Coordinates and communicates resources on all aspects of project work with management, crew, foremen and project management teams. Assists the field on technical, installation and code-related questions. Conducts regular project reviews and maintains records of project progress. Collaboratewith project managers to review labor projections by project and local jurisdiction, control project costs and maintain overall profitability for projects.Ensurecrews have required work direction, resources, and support.Researchandrecommendsmost efficient means, methods, and techniques in performing work. Overseedaily construction activities and execution of the project life cycle at work sites. Inspectswork in progress to ensure that work conforms to specifications and to construction schedules. Manages site work and logistics efficiently, using LEAN methodology and continuous improvement approach to all efforts. Assists the field on technical, installation and code-related questions. Coordinates plans and specifications with engineers, identifying and clarifying discrepancies.Conferencewith management and engineering staff and/or inspectors and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve problems and improve construction methods. Works with subcontractors to complete projects within budgets and projected timeframes. Collaborates with the safety team to identify and correct unsafe working conditions. Educates and implements proactive safety measures per Company requirements and OSHA standards.Ensureemployees follow all appropriate safety procedures and that safety audits are completed as required. Provides regular and high-quality hiring, communications, mentoring, coaching, problem-solving and trainingtostaff and other co-workers at all levels as needed. Advises and coaches employees and provides performance feedback regularly. Stays informed of new and changing Company procedures, policies, materials, technologies, techniques, and practices. Establishes, trains, and maintains policies and processes. Creates and maintains positive relationships andopencommunications with senior management, project teams, customers, sub-contractors, architects, vendors, othertrades, union representatives, office, and field staff. Addresses personnel issues as they arise and involves the necessary resources to resolve problems. Consistentlymakedecisions in an attentive and safe manner to ensure the safety and health of self and others. Utilizes LEAN concepts or other continuous improvement methodologies to ensure the most efficient operations, processes, and activities. Promotes and models the Company mission, vision and values through exercising sound and ethical business practices, championing all elements of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and providing high quality services and programs as they relate to clients, subcontractors, co-workers, suppliers, and the public. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in engineering, construction management, building construction or a related field. Valid state electrical license preferred. Minimum 10+ years of electrical construction experience withconcentrationin large, complex commercial construction projects. Experience directly managing people preferred. Experience and knowledge of construction and general industry safety standards, including OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and NFPA 70E. Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, market conditions and trade practices. Must have extensive knowledge of the electrical code and skills to read, interpret and understand electrical contracts, plans, drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Strong experience and understanding of project management tools and practices. Thorough understanding of the project life cycle. Extensive training and experience with LEAN methodologies and applications. Strong process orientation. LEAN certification preferred. Conceptual ability to work with little information and quickly understand the owner/architect requirements. Demonstrated strong business analytical and mathematical skills. Strong financial acumen, critical thinking skills and detail orientation. Demonstrated prominent level of integrity and dependability. Strongprofessional leadership, organizational management, labor projection and workforce hiring skills. Demonstrated strong business development and client communication skills. Strong and professional team player, with effective problem solving, interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Ability to work with and facilitate diverse work teams. Excellent listening, presentation, negotiation, conflict management and persuasion skills, and the ability to influence potential customers and employees at all levels, including senior management. Travel Travelto project sites isrequired,which may include temporary relocation for the duration of the project.
