Assistant Property ManagerThe Assistant Property Manager supports the Property Manager in the daily operations of assigned communities, including financial administration, compliance, leasing support, and resident relations. This role serves as a key operational partner and ensures consistency across leasing, collections, and compliance functions.In addition, this position is responsible for the following:Supporting daily office operations and ensuring consistent coverageAssisting with workflows, policies, and acting in the Real Estate Manager role as neededProcessing rent payments and maintaining accurate resident ledgersManaging delinquency, notices, and payment plans in alignment with company policyAssisting with eviction processes and monthly financial reportingSupporting compliance with LIHTC, HUD, and Section 8 program requirementsProcessing certifications and maintaining audit-ready resident filesProcessing applications, leases, move-ins, and move-outsSupporting leasing efforts, follow-ups, and occupancy goalsResponding to resident concerns and assisting with conflict resolutionEnsuring timely communication and delivery of noticesCoordinating with maintenance on work orders and unit turnsTracking work orders and supporting vendor coordination as neededMaintaining accurate records within property management systemsAssisting with reporting on occupancy, delinquency, and compliance metricsSupporting team training and reinforcing operational expectationsPerforming additional duties and special projects as assignedEducation & Experience:High school diploma or equivalent required3-5+ years of affordable housing experience3+ years HUD experience in project-based Section 8 complianceExperience with leasing, collections, and compliance processesExperience with Yardi or similar property management systems preferredKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Strong organizational and time management skillsEffective communication and customer service skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritiesAttention to detail, particularly in financials and complianceProfessional demeanor and conductAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management systems
