Tire and Battery Center Team Leader

Sam's Club #4718 11278 S Jordan Gtwy, South Jordan, UT 84095-4111 Position Summary As a Tire and Battery Center Services Lead you will drive member service in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver safe and efficient services. You will model expertise in Tire and Battery Center and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations. What you'll do Be a Team Leader – supervise the team within the Tire and Battery Center, communicate goals, set guidelines and expectations for tire and battery service, execute company programs, adhere to policies and advocate for the member, associate, and company. Be an Expert – maintain in-depth knowledge of business on the floor, safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, tire recalls, product specifications and seasonality; share knowledge, train the team and ensure they are equipped with what they need. Be a Techie – leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the service experience, elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology for immediate business decisions, adopt new tools, and encourage others to use them. Be an Owner – drive business results, ensure commitment to operational excellence, maintain a neat, clean and safe work area; proactively plan orders of equipment, tools and supplies, track expenses, monitor returns and special orders, assist in staffing and scheduling, operate cash registers, process transactions and work hands‑on in the physical area when required. Be a Talent Ambassador – train and teach the team to be highly effective, monitor associates to complete e‑learning on time, identify potential and desire in others, develop necessary skill sets, encourage career growth, source talent internally and externally, implement processes and practices, ensure compliance with company policies and standards, and support the company’s Open Door Policy. Acknowledgment of required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period. Preferred Qualifications Supervisory experience in the Tire Industry. Tire Industry Certification.
