Associate Software Engineer - DevelopersCompany:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is currently seeking AssociateSoftware Engineer - Developers to join the B-52J CERP - Flight Software team located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization.The B-52J CERP program will provide modern engines and related functions for the B-52 Bomber. The Flight Software team is responsible for providing the software that will collect data from these new engines and display it to the pilots in the cockpit. The successful software engineer selected for this position will design, develop and integrate software in an agile, collaborative environment. This software engineer will also design and develop software tools to aid in the development of flight software. In addition to having strong interpersonal skills, the software engineer should be a self-motivated problem solver, capable of resolving technical challenges in a clear and concise manner.Position Responsibilities:Supports the design, development, test, and maintenance of non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, safety, and regulation standardsAssists with review, analysis and translation of customer requirements into initial design of software productsSupports development, maintenance, enhancement and optimization of software products and functionalities for systems integrationsSupports development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software productsSupports debugging and resolution of issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software productsParticipates in handling user inquiries, troubleshooting technical issues and user feedback analysisSupports implementation of current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to software developmentSupports development, establishment, monitoring and improvement of software processes, tools and key performance metrics that align projects with organizational goals and industry benchmarksSupports execution and documentation of software research and development projectAssists with performing software project management activities and software supplier management functionsSupports tracking and evaluation of software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process compliance to project plans and industry standardsBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline1+ years of experience in C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or ADA1+ years of experience in SAFE Agile and/or GitLabPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry 1+ years of experience in Building Docker Images, Gitlab, CI/CD Pipeline, VXWorks Workbench, Git, VSCode DevcontainersExperience with ADA Programming Language preferred Experience with host environments, including processors, operating systems and networks. Ability to build, integrate and troubleshoot software componentsExperience with software programming languages and databases and the ability to apply to the software domain.
