Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead all aspects of manufacturing operations within a high-volume production facility. This individual will be responsible for driving operational excellence, managing plant financial performance, ensuring safety and quality standards, and developing high-performing teams. The ideal candidate is a proven manufacturing leader with extensive experience in union environments and a strong background in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all plant operations to achieve production, quality, safety, delivery, and financial objectives.
• Develop and manage short- and long-term operating budgets to meet the plant's financial commitments.
• Coordinate plant activities with department leaders to ensure manufacturing goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Implement cost-effective controls over capital expenditures, operating expenses, labor, wages, and salaries.
• Oversee capital asset management and ensure equipment and facilities are properly maintained.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for production, quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
• Drive initiatives to reduce overtime, premium freight, scrap, downtime, and repair costs.
• Maintain plant facilities and equipment through effective maintenance and capital improvement programs.
• Lead and support preventive maintenance initiatives to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
• Promote workplace organization and cleanliness using Lean principles and 5S methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations, environmental requirements, company policies, and local, state, and federal safety standards.
• Develop, mentor, and lead salaried leadership teams while promoting employee engagement and performance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of Plant Manager or Manufacturing Management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 8 years of leadership experience in a union manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 8 years managing salaried leaders and cross-functional manufacturing teams.
• Proven experience managing plant budgets, capital expenditures, and operational performance.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, production planning, maintenance, quality, and supply chain coordination.
• Demonstrated ability to improve operational efficiency while controlling costs and meeting customer expectations.
